Starting in the fall of 2024 Muriel Mackie and I began creating short one act plays within a 12-hour time period. We wrote the plays, advertised the plays, found actors, and performed them within that 12-hour period. Typically, we tried to preform one play a week. Currently, the weekly plays take much longer than 12 hours to produce. This is due to the passion and dedication our group puts into writing and performing the plays. This passion has been noticed by our local community, and we were invited to start performing our plays at Cahoots Community Center on a monthly basis. My most recently written play, "Identity Theft: Part 1", Took 12 hours to write and was performed at Cahoots Community Center. The nature of our plays has shifted dramatically but at their core they are still what Muriel and I envisioned. They are a fun, short activity that provides a safe outlet for people to express themselves. These plays mean so much to the people who are involved in them and have taught me so many valuable skills.
